Biography
Richard I. Milman is a Member of Milman Labuda Law Group. He regularly represents employers in a wide range of industries, including building service, banking and financial services, construction, food service, manufacturing, entertainment, transportation and distribution, automotive, trucking, warehousing, steel, and corrugated box and paper, retail, pharmaceutical, and health care.
Mr. Milman handles employment litigation, including FLSA, Title VII, ADEA, ADA and other employment discrimination matters before state and federal courts and administrative tribunals including the EEOC, the New York State Division of Human Rights, and the Department of Labor.
He advises employers on a full range of labor and employment matters involving labor and employment issues in day-to-day operations and transactional matters.
Mr. Milman represents employers in union avoidance, organizing campaigns, and related proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.
He represents employers in collective bargaining and in connection with strikes, picketing and arbitration proceedings. He also handles grievances and arbitrations concerning work rule disputes and discharges, for both unionized and non-unionized employers.
In addition, Mr. Milman prepares and revises employment manuals and personnel policy manuals. He structures employment agreements, including those involving protection of trade secrets and proprietary technology, and litigation involving employment contracts, restrictive covenants, and protection of confidential and proprietary information.
