Biography

Robert F. Milman is the founding Member of Milman Labuda Law Group PLLC. Robert has been representing private sector employers and management in a wide range of labor and employment law matters, for more than 30 years. He has limited his practice to representing employers with respect all facets of labor and employment law and commercial litigation, including discharge, discipline and other personnel problems; sexual harassment investigations; family and medical leave issues; employment agreements; separation agreements; reductions-in-force; contact administration; independent contractor status; drug-testing; alternative dispute resolution programs; and Covid related issues client advocacy, Robert helps strategically guide companies and individuals through the challenges of complex and often high-stakes business litigation. Through his counseling, Robert drafts, reviews and revises pay plans, handbooks, leave policies, harassment policies, employment applications and other personnel materials as well as shareholder and operating agreements. Robert’s current traditional labor law practice focuses on negotiating collective bargaining agreements, labor arbitrations and unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board on such matters as unfair labor practice charges, representation petitions, unit clarification, secondary boycotts, unlawful picketing and breach of bargaining agreements. Robert has also handled arbitrations with respect to discharge and other disciplinary grievances, failure to promote, and contract interpretation. Robert has negotiated hundreds of collective bringing agreements as the lead negotiator for individual companies or as the chief negotiator in Multi-employer Contract Bargaining.

Robert advises various domestic automotive dealerships in the New York Metropolitan area, including both privately owned and publicly held companies. As a reflection of the immense range of business activities undertaken in the industry, we provide legal services in a variety of fields including general , employment, corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions.

In addition to handling traditional labor and employment law issues, Robert represents employers in litigation. His litigation practice focuses on defending companies of all sizes, from startups to public corporations, in the following:
